Thanks Michel,

For me, this summer, my primary focus is developing highly modular and
replicable open source techology for indoor and outdoor urban
agriculture.

Our first effort, here in Lansing, MI (about 100 miles away from
Detroit) is http://www.appropedia.org/Food_Commons_Rain_Water_Hydroponics

This is outdoor food production of produce, using an intelligent
rainwater/gravity fed irrigation system. The same system will also be
usable for indoor/outdoor full hydroponics. This is designed for
produce optimization (getting the best production per-species out of
produce) and for replicability of results.

Then next step once this is developed and working, will be to deploy
on vacant land around the city, and create multiple indoor
installations, for year round food production. Plus, we can adapt to
high tunnel/hoop house production.

We'll document the growing sharing and other economies while
developing the technology and food production.
