Subject: [UKIE-EDem] Sheffield research seminars on socio-digital worlds

Bridgette Wessels, a sociologist at Sheffield University, has put together
what looks like a very interesting seminar series for the
coming months, under the heading Interdisciplinary Research in Socio-Digital
Worlds (IRiS). They are intended as more than just
presentations. The aim is to create links between researchers, involve users
and stakeholders, identify research gaps and generate ideas for
collaboration. Each event is organised around a distinct theme -

1. participation,
2. identity, privacy and publicness,
3. culture, and
4. inclusion/exclusion.

The first two dates have confirmed speakers/schedules, and I think they will
all be well worth making time for if you're within reach of
Sheffield. The first one is this Wednesday.
