The problem is, this guy's objections to Wikipedia all seem to hinge
on the strawmen and stereotypes promulgated by snobs like Andrew
Keene. IOW, most of the stuff Bolen has a problem with is the direct
opposite of what most people here object to. Most people here object
to the shrinking insider clique of deletionists and notability hawks,
etc.

And frankly, I'm extremely skeptical that "library crazies" and pedos
vandalizing Wikipedia ranks very high as a serious drawback. That
reeks either of someone who buys in to the second-hand critiques of
conventional liberal journalists who pine away for the lost cult of
professionalism, or somone whose experiences reflect personal
axe-grinding that's relevant to an infinitesimal fraction of
Wikipedia's content. Generally, serious vandalism and crankery are
corrected relatively fast by the Wikipedia community's stigmergic
process.
