I agree; though I disagreed with Deep Environmentalists who started this
line of reasoning some years ago. It caused me to move my PhD out of
Science and Technology Studies at Virginia Tech because I thought all the
faculty were literally nuts. They weren't of course. Well, not because of
animal rights, anyway.
It does beg the question on robots. What would it take for someone to
accept one as a peer?
