Dear Computing Educator,

We invite you to attend the 2nd annual HFOSS Symposium (HFOSS 2010
http://www.hfoss.org/hfoss2010)<https://webmail.internode.on.net/parse.php?redirect=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.hfoss.org%2Fhfoss2010%29>on
"Growing the HFOSS Community." This one-day symposium will be held in
Milwaukee, WI on March, 10th, 2010 as a pre-conference activity in
conjunction with the 2010 SIGCSE conference (
http://www.sigcse.org/sigcse2010/ ). It is sponsored by the NSF- funded
Humanitarian FOSS Project (http://hfoss.org).

This year's symposium focuses on how to expand participation in the
Humanitarian FOSS movement so that it reaches many more students, colleges,
secondary schools, and software industry representatives throughout the
nation. The symposium is designed to be highly interactive, taking place
entirely in plenary session. It will be keynoted by Prof. Hal Abelson, Class
of 1922 Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at MIT,
founding director of Creative Commons, Public Knowledge, and the Free
Software Foundation.

The symposium will feature invited speakers from industry and academia, an
open-ended round-table discussion, and a panel of CS curriculum experts.

Complete program available at
