I am hedging some bets on this. Existing cities need some serious work
towards creating technical and biological cycles that residents can
participate in, however. And, politically, everything cannot continue
to be geared towards the most moneyed real estate owners, financiers
and industrialists. It's very possible now to begin to arrange things
on a neighborhood scale so that people who live in cities can have
more of a stake in the outcomes of their cities. The largest barrier
has always been in the minds of people who believe it is not possible
for them.
