Dear all,
the latest CROSSTALKS book I edited is out!
“WE CAN CHANGE THE WEATHER - 100 CASES OF CHANGEABILITY” is the title of the
4th CROSSTALKS book. The book documents 100 tangible local initiatives from
all over the world that fit into a constructive and holistic movement for
social and ecological change.
The selection itself was motivated by scientific researchers, architects,
artists, political thinkers and entrepreneurs who try to make a positive
difference in our quest for a future of prosperity, freedom and fun without
undermining nature and humanity.
The impressive international mix of contributors ranges from the Dutch
architect Rem Koolhaas & OMA (who recently won the the Golden Lion for
Lifetime Achievement for the 12th International Architecture Exhibition) and
Belgium’s finest architects Julien Desmedt, Salvatore Bono and
Sebastian-Moreno Vacca to the artist François Schuiten, composer Walter Hus
and arctic traveller Dixie Dancercoer. From the Natural Cooking School in
Westmalle to the Rocky Mountain institute in Boulder, from a sound project
with Philippe Starck in Paris to Hyadachi storytelling in Barcelona. You can
find the complete list of contributions in attachment.
The production of the book is the final part of the Energy Efficiency
project that started 3 years ago co-joining VUB CROSSTALKS, UGENT, Brussels
Capital Region, Flanders District of Creativity and VITO with IBBT, 3E and
BURO II as supporting partners.

In collaboration with our publisher VUB Press, this book will be promoted
