On information overload:

My own path is to consider it all as a wash.  Just as I do not expect to use
every drop in a shower, I cannot catch all the information flowing to me.
Some I use in detail.  Some is used in a way--giving me a sense of
temperature and wetness--but is mostly wasted.  Little is stored.  It is a
stream.  A renewal.  Over time our filters expand to latch onto that which
is a bridge between our interests.
