Hi Matt,
This is a really great initiative, and I'm proud that we have inspired a
part of it. (I'm hoping you can add/use P2P explicitely in your project
name, to indicate the linkage). I feel there are 2 people in particular you
should be talking to for the moment.
Sam Rose, who has been thinking deeply, and working on implementing,
comprehensive systems of low-treshold financing means of production; and
Dmytri Kleiner, who just proposed to implement a social news network for us.
Perhaps your idea could be integrated in Dmytri's recent proposal?
As for me as a person, I'm really overwhelmed right now, combining two jobs,
one teaching, the other nurturing the P2P Community through its knowledge
base, while still struggling with personal sustainability issues. Right now,
I don't feel I can pull more weight ...
I could also put you in touch with some of our monetary experts, so that you
could implement mutual credit clearing system (which requires no upfront
money, just a recognition of each others performed services which can then
be used as non-'money' in the whole community).
Some people I'm thinking of: "Thomas Greco -- thg" <thg at mindspring.com>,
"Guillaume P. Lebleu" <guillaume at lebleu.org>, "chris cook" <
cojock at hotmail.com>,
Matt, this is a super great project, I wholeheartedly support it, and
certainly in terms of spreading the news and internetworking, I will do what
I can.
If Dmytri can create the network, with an integrated social currency, and
Sam can give you advice on an integrated economic system implementation,
then that seems like a good way to go for me,
what do you think?
(once you feel ready for a public announcement, let me know, you can also
post your note at Ning for further discussion)
Michel
