Agreed, there sure is no clear picture emerging.
I think this is why he talks about a communism of singularities. There is no dominant form evolving any more, but a multitude of forms and actions, perhaps all united by the desire to overcome the commodity form of existence.

I can easily agree with the portions that suggest the old communism is dead and gone forever...but the article is hugely uncertain about what "new" communism will look like.
