[p2p-research] very important discussion about 'now web" or 'the stream', with interesting structural comparison of facebook vs. twitter dynamics

The only way for me to get into it is if I use it thru my mobile phone
just like I use texting. I had been involved in a venture in 2003
involving a form of what is now called 'pervasive gaming' that is
played over SMS. Yet I did not use SMS myself until 2007 when I met my
girlfriend who was an 'SMS power user' at that point in time. And then
I got addicted to it as I started using it.

I'm installing a Twitter app on my development iPhone (and will
actually start using the iPhone as of OS 3.0 as my phone) so I expect
that will get me to use twitter more often but the key is WHO IS
WORTHY OF MY "PERSISTENT" FOLLOWING? Is Mel Brooks on Twitter? Is he
still funny? I doubt it, at least for the former. Whom among the
comedians or present day philosophers that I like is on Twitter? Is
there a service that tells me that, like a Twitter 411 (directory)?

I bet if P2P Research list starts a twitter account and you send out
interesting tidbits of news/opinions thru it then it will be a really
interesting experiment for us, that might get us into twittering (or
tweeting) ....

I'm sure fights can still happen but they will be limited to 140
characters of pain. Imagine that! I think that alone makes it
indispensable!
