Ushahidi is easy to apply to a range of possible applications where
crowdsourced data needs to be mapped and visualized.  It could be used quite
easily, for example, as a component of an open currency measurement system.


I could (as could anyone) come up with dozens of uses, but its intended use
for disasters and crises is vitally important and worthwhile in itself.
People living in developing nations or working with developing nations or
people living in disaster prone areas might urge public groups to look into
it.
