On Venture Communism and Collective Ownership

SLUM-TV proudly invites

as it is about strategies of survival - practicing for emergencies…

intro / talk with dmitry kleiner, dr. richard barbrook

society we live in, as societys everywhere and always, are composed of
social relationships. relationships of productions, in particular, form the
economic capacities required to impose social and political structures. the
relation of productions constitutes the economic structure of society on
which arise the legal and political structures which define it. new kinds of
relations, if they create new productive relations, can possibly constitute
a new political and economic structure which is able to give rise to a new
kind of society.

assuming that political change can only follow a change in the mode of
production, venture communism is such an attempt to create a mode of
production that will expand socialism by reducing the labour available to be
exploited by property. a form of revolutionary workers struggle, a mode of
production that is designed to shift the balance of power from property to
labour, so in the final endgame, the workers are allowed, eventually, to buy
back the entire world from capitalists.

talks on 1.of may will cover differing and crucial aspects of these concepts
as practics, paralells and results so far, especially analysing and
referring to associations as SLUM-TV is one, as telekommunisten is one and
as many others, still to come…
