No. State expropriation of the land of untold hundreds of millions of
peasants over the past few generations, coupled with state subsidies
to export-oriented cash crop plantation farming, means that millions
of children die of hunger each year even though enough food is
produced for all. And millions of people die each year because drug
patents mean they can't afford to pay for the medicine that would save
them. Both the enforcement of feudal land titles against the genuine
property rights of the occupant-cultivator, and the enforcement of
patents and copyright of all kind, are anathema to genuine free market
principles.
