Dear friends,
I'm not sure I would qualify, i.e. how much real world impact has the P2P
Foundation really had?, but a Ashoka Fellowship would eventually be a good
patronage to work full time for the P2P Foundation. I'm now happy to work at
this job for 2-3 years, but mid-term would like to return to fulltime
advocacy. As these things take time in any case, now would be a good time to
start such a process.
So in any case, if you feel that it is worth supporting, thanks for
eventually putting my name in their list:
here's the announcement, found at
http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=125025625074&ref=nf
"Can you name a social entrepreneur who has created widespread social change
in their career? Someone working throughout their home country (not just in
one city or state), or perhaps across multiple countries? Someone highly
respected and considered an expert in their field? Someone like Wendy Kopp,
who founded Teach for America, or Jimmy Wales of Wikipedia.
If so, we'd love to hear from you. Email the candidate's name, organization,
contact info and country of residence to seniorfellows at ashoka.org.
