Michel and Franz,

Our websites are getting a facelift, with focus on our 1000 True Fans
campaign. Please blog about us. Since we started the campaign, we are
setting up Gaia U collaboration on degree pathways on Open Engineering, and
Open Biz Models, exact titles to be determined. Plus other booty.

Can you recommend others who should be hearing this message? Here are some
lines that we're spreading, see the links:

As far as we know, we are a unique experiment at reinventing the entire
infrastructure of communities – in what is known as the Global Village
Construction Set (http://openfarmtech.org/index.php?title=Distillations). We
are also the only group that we know of who is actively developing Open
Business Models in physical production, in a facility that also tests these
business models first hand.

We have initiated the First World Conference on Open Source Ecology (
http://openfarmtech.org/index.php?title=First_World_Conference_on_Open_Source_Ecology),
where we are developing the technology and ecology tools for post-industrial
settlements. I would like to ask any of you to consider attending - and help
us recruit other participants.

If you can't make it to the conference, consider supporting this very
important work by subscribing to the 1000 True Fans campaign -

We are taking this work very seriously, because of its potential. If you
have suggestions on our work and approach, please share them. Can you
recommend others who may be interested? We believe that this work can gain
immense momentum - the trick is to get out a clear message - which we just
started to do.

Sincerely,

Marcin

Modern methods of production have given us the possibility of ease and
security for all; we have chosen, instead, to have overwork for some and
starvation for the others. Hitherto we have continued to be as energetic as
we were before there were machines; in this we have been foolish, but there
is no reason to go on being foolish for ever.

--Bertrand Russell, In Praise of Idleness, 1935

A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a
hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build
a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate,
act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a
computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly.
Specialization is for insects.
