Another breakthrough in data storage and movement--by 2012, 500 GB on a
standard DVD sized disc. Current technologies hold about 5 GB per disc.

Elsewhere, there is a large movement going on now in the UK urging local
governments to release "raw data" to the web on budgets, mails, public
advisories, etc.
Certainly a major driver in the p2p world will be the simple explosion of
data sources and the impossibility of pricing by unit of intellectual
property in such frameworks--particularly for historical data.
