I have no clue what I remind me of (as far as other people go) but I'll be
sure to check out Negri's early work...
Just something off the top of my head:
There is something called the Aharanov-Bohm Effect
<http://msc.phys.rug.nl/quantummechanics/ab.htm>that is key to a new
interpretative model for why social theory often fails in practice (I
plucked this out of thin air, literally, so I doubt there are any reference
works)
Let's say there are two possible paths of logic stemming from one premise
and lets say that both paths take us to the same end. Now let's say that
there is a logical obstacle sitting right in between the two paths but not
obstructing either path. In other words, there are two ways to do something
(extreme A, and extreme B) and every way in between will run into the
obstacle. Now let's say there is a 50/50 chance of either logical path (or
extreme) being taken by a given person. In this case, despite the fact that
both extreme paths should work without any issue (since they circumvent the
obstacle) when it comes to executing either path the effect of the obstacle
between the two paths will be felt, even though it is logically outside of
either path. This seems true for social mechanics as it is for quantum
mechanics.
Classical logic omits the fact that two or more independent logical paths
from premise to conclusion can behave as one logical stream....
