You realise they don't quite mean what they say though?  Application beyond

The AHRB is playing catch-up because obviously the neoliberal project
sidelines arts and humanities (along with "pure" sciences and critical
scholarship) in favour of applied science and especially government
subsidies for business research.  But their statement is very much within
the framework of neoliberal gleichschaltung.
