True, but Rss don't come in as email (there are workarounds, but
they're far from straightforward). And above all, the problem I
referred to is what happens after.

Rss or email notification may remove the need to check a wiki
manually, but the end result is still you have to write into
(potentially) as many differently working wikis as is the number of
projects/conversation you need or want to carry on. Not the best
solution, especially if the goal is not to produce one single common
document on some topic, but just to engage in temporary conversations
as it happens on mailing lists.
