I have been trimming, at least recently so far as I know.

I took Steve out of the cc list

Why should I turn off HTML? Why will you not instead **please** turn it on?

I mean I could easily switch to an email client that does not use html, and
even using gmail, I could have email forwarded to this client, and have
email sent out as plain text to certain people, etc

In fact, I used to do this circa 1998-maybe around 2000

But, you are literally the first person to complain to me about html email
being a problem in about 4-5 years.

So, I am here to tell you that the "Nettiquette" of me needing to manually
or otherwise make sure that you receive plain text emails from me is really
no longer an issue. You are in the minority, and you can easily use programs
on your end to convert my emails to plain text. Most of the people that I
exchange email with now do not have any issue with receiving html email, and
that includes those who do not use services gmail yahoo, etc

This is not a flame war. This is me telling you that this is a non-issue

Trimming of emails for readability an issue?: yes, maybe (although most of
the people you are talking to are reading their email in a system that
AUTOMATICALLY RECGONIZES THE THREAD AND THIS IS WHY THEY ARE NOT TRIMMING IT
AS MACHINES ARE NOW DOING IT FOR THEM :-O

HTML email an issue?: Hell no. It is 2008 my friends.
