5. Develop and Test Controllers

This system configuration implements the layered Model+View+Control testing architecture for the pallet handling example.

The MODEL and CONTROL devices encapsulate combined architectural functions in a similar manner to the DRILL_MVCL example:

• The MODEL device contains both Model and View elements as in the LIFTER_MVL configuration, as well as user interface (UI) elements for the simulation.
• The CONTROL device contains the Controller and HMI elements, including the logic for sequencing and interlocking of operations among the modeled physical elements as well as a RUN/STOP switch for starting and stopping the FEED and TAKEOFF conveyors. Control is performed in the CTL resource.
• Inter-layer communication is implemented with the local multicast pattern.
