I don't know if any theory predicts any size of a photon (or the electron
for that matter). But of course it has a certain wavelength, which is much
larger than the Plank length.

Yes, but remember that it is likely that the Plank scale is rather
chaotic; the neat riemannian manifold structure probably dissolves into
quantum chaos, discrete geometry or pregeometry of some kind. But if FTL
is going on, it would work fine here since the speed of light is rather
undefined at this scale.
