Maybe what this planet needs is the Crusade for Objective Reality, a cooperative of hard-science organizations and whatever religions still dare to proclaim themselves as truth instead of a way of making nice to the neighbors. Yes, we may see it our lifetimes - fundamentalist Christians and physicists banding together to make war on New Agers and social scientists!
