I hope we never do this as I find mailing lists much more
effective discussion spaces than slashdot web based
discussions. Mailing lists are especially effective when backed
by good archives. Slashdot spaces are two hierarchical based on
initial topic and not easily sorted by other criteria.
Responses tend to not be read if made to branches of the tree
already seen or skipped. The time entered element is lost.

I would tend to be opposed unless the slashsite forward all
messages to the normal mailing list also and users could
subscribe to and look at one or both at will.
