I think, given the choice, most rational people would opt for something that
gurantees subjective immortality over something that was questionable about
it.
### Having a conscious copy of myself present at future time points T, such
that any arbitrary time point t is always followed by a T, (meaning - I
live forever, even if I am not present during all moments of eternity) is my
own subjective definition of subjective immortality. There is nothing
questionable about it, since it is a first-principle subjective definition.
What is yours?
Live and let live. It's not rational, it's a choice (to paraphrase the
answer I give to people saying "It's not a choice, it's a baby").
