As a specific response to this: I am not convinced that enough food to feed seven million
people _could *be*_ brought in before winter, even if it met with the approval of the
Afghans-with-guns on the ground there. Note that if the USA did the bringing, the Taliban
would do their best to destroy it. Solution?

PS: We'll see what Bush really means--by what he (and the force under his command) does,
not by what he says. Talking (and to some degree acting) as if you're the baddest mother
