Has anyone noticed that Sergei K. Krikalev appears to be a Vulcan (this is
harder to disguise in TV appearances than in photos)?

And `Krikalev' is obviously some kind of macabre wordplay on `Vale Kirk' -
`Farewell, Kirk'.
