Ja, though stomach acid would not actually touch glass, there could be some standard magic involved, such as having some premade pieces of glass whose edges have been dulled with a torch, replacing the real glass shards thru prestidigitation. Or some "glass" made of salt or other soluble crystal, again switcherooed when the audience is distracted. Arthur Clarke has aptly stated, any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. {8-] spike
