I'm frequently amazed by my parents. Both were born in Picayune, MS, in 1939 to Southern Baptist families and somehow managed to overcome this handicap. Both have read my pages and had good comments. My mother even liked my essay about hiring a prostitute, but she thought I was a bit too hard on alternative medicine in another essay.
