The people you listed are bench scientists and researchers. There is still
some skepticism, for example, in Scientific American regarding
nanotechnology. But after evaluating the September Issue, I could see that
the only argument was over the means of achieving nanotech, silicon, carbon,
or biological. I am uncomfortable in merely speculating on technical issues
without the addition of someone who is very knowledgeable about technology,
if not an actual scientific peer. I think those researchers listed need as
much encouragement from us as they desire.

Then perhaps I should leave. I don't see any of those people as
contributors, or even as serious thinkers, with the exception of Minsky.
They'd be better classified as bad science fiction writers.
