Aw gee, everyone's beating me up today. :)
I was really just doing a very quick&dirty post to make the point that the
question was a hoary old one on this list. Robert's critique is certainly
another very useful contribution; I wish the archives contained all the
best comments to&fro, pro&con, hither&thither, in one useful meaty
compilation. Maybe someday a book could be woven out of this long
discontinuous conversation. Hey, now that you mention-- (Nah, nobody wanted
THE KRELL GALAXY when I suggested it to various publishers in Oz and the
USA, damn it.)
