Hmm...I note that they've put the Alpha Centauri book up for
playtesting. That one's based on a story similar to the future we're
working towards, except that disaster within the next century postpones
the Singularity (basically, all human life on Earth dies out due to
semi-unspecified catastrophe, with hints that war is the catastrophe)
until our survivors on a colony ship can relearn what's being developed
today, plus their Singularity adds in some alien life they find (not
"made possible by", but just adding it in, in the interests of not
leaving anyone out).

Given that, and given as the GURPS books often copy relevant bits from
prior successful efforts (thus, the Transhuman book is likely to be
influenced by the Alpha Centauri book), I wonder if anyone here would
like to try playtesting GURPS AC. The basic system (at least, a "Lite"
version for players new to the system) is available for free, if that'd
be a problem. (I hope this kind of query is ok on this list...)
