They most certainly do. It boils down to fear of the unknown and is
perfectly natural. Every single time two human tribes are reunited,
the same fears, bigotries, and misconceptions flare up. With
continuing trade and migration, people get used to each other. This
process was slow, but given global travel and communication it will
accelerate. In short, technology enables true anarchy and equal
opportunity.
Pockets of centralized power-- be they governments or
government-backed business ventures-- slow down progress in this
direction.
