Of course you were being very reasonable through out the
time that you were writing. You were also being very
moderate. Both those together make it a very bad joke
to say "commie" even in jest, mainly because there are
many people to the left of you whose opinions are very
welcome, of course, and who possibly already feel
inimidated as it is!
