Well, you could put it on an FTP site or somesuch, but their major
customers (as measured by $ to Adobe) - corporate users who can be
tracked and sued (and some of whom have been raided by the LEAs on
request from private copyright enforcement groups) - have way too much
to lose to knowingly pirate from large companies.
Given this, how else can you cut off corporate purchases of [insert
corporation you disagree with]'s software? Do that, and you hurt 'em,
but simple piracy as it is commonly practiced can't do that much
damage. Frankly, even a boycott could potentially hurt more, since
that really does cause some of these customers not to buy - i.e., it'd
be more effective, despite its being the older technique. (The new
does not always trump the old...)
