I'm reminded of a dish I saw when I lived overseas. A large
stainless steel bowl was placed on the table, then a large block of
tofu was placed into the center.
A quantity of water was placed in the bowl, then a small quantity
of small live eels added to the water.
The bowl was placed on a burner, and as the water heated, the eels
burrowed into the tofu to try and escape. The resultant block was
seasoned, then sliced and served.
YUM!YUM!
