They're just elements of what is called gender-neutral
text: all I'm saying is that there are obvious
problems with the english language, such that extra
systems are often created to implement or modify it...
it would be interesting to try to create a language
system that would be easy for anyone to use, logical
(like Loglan) in structure, easy to learn (like
Esperanto), and that might be less limiting in some
ways than english is, despite it's huge and absorbent
nature. It's interesting to note, for example, that
while proper english has no equivalent of y'all or
you's people, informal dialects often recreate it, and
it's a feature common to many languages. Formal
english appears to limit thought by it's very
structure. Were a better language to come into common
use, it might be that our list here would be a bit
larger:)
