OFF-TOPIC/CRYPTO: Help with "CrypKep"

I NEED to use the copy of ConceptCad 3.0 I have this weekend. Virtus Corp.,
the author of the software, is unavailable over the Labor Day holiday. I'm a
legitimate user of this software, but the registration code I have isn't
working (the copy belongs to an engineer I'm working with, but he's
unavailable as well). It seems to be protected by a program called "CrypKey"

The program WAS executing fine, but seems to have kept a count of how many
times its been used and now wants me to call Virtus to get the registration
number, and the one I have isn't working (from which I deduce that it somehow
knows its been installed on a new machine). Reinstalling the program from
the orginal CDs doesn't seem to help, so I assume it's writing a log in some
out-of-the-way corner of my hard disk from its original installation on my
machine, which it checks whenever its invoked, regardless of the new install.

Any ideas for a temporary work-around? I suspect I'd be OK if I could find
the log CrypKey keeps and delete it, then re-install ConceptCad. I've looked
at potential candidates, but am leery of indiscriminate deletions . . . if I
lobotomize my machine, I'll REALLY be screwed.

Feel free to email me off-list w/any suggestions, and thanks. Snide comments
about intellectual property will be tolerated :-)
