Yup...it's a whole nuther order of magnitude. My new truck is barely
broke in....when it turns a hundred grand I'm thinking of having it turned
up to it's full rated horsepower.
I've owned two trucks previous to this one. The last one...a custom
Peterbilt...had about 750,000 miles on it and still brought $50,000 in
trade...it was considered "used' but still in very good shape.
The first one I owned had a million two hundred fifty thousand and change on
it's odometer when I traded it...and I still managed to get about $15,000 in
trade for it.
Trucks are like airplanes (I presume)...in that if they are well maintained
they "just keep on trukin'".....and they are built so that they CAN be
maintained....just about every part on them can be repaired and/or replaced.
Beleive it or not there are working trucks on the road that are (many)
decades old and have (many) MILLIONS of miles on them. Rare..but there are
a few.
Kinda like the B-52 I suppose....older than their crews...
