CYMM SAYS: Bonnie, to get totally offtopic ( ...I mean I count some dogs
among my really favourite friends...); Dogs are really nothing more than
wolves. Their domestication from canis lupus might even predate homo sapiens
sapiens; and it kept continuing into historic times.
This, i suppose because of the neat strategic fit beween dog society &
human.
So, resident in the dog populations of the world are genes from long extinct
wolf genepools.
