What is the flaw in changing the name Anarco-Capitalism to Agoric
Democracy? This seems to be much more palatable for memetic
propagation purposes by making use of the popularity the democracy
meme has gained world-wide. Where is my blind spot in thinking this
accurately conveys the concepts of Anarco-Capitalism? Extropians
hear the word anarchy and visions of spontaneous order are dancing in
their heads. To many others the word means rebellious teenagers who
want no rules. Recently, I was on a website chat that forbid a small
handful of topics - one of which was anarchy. I sent a polite message
to the webmaster asking why. I got a one word response...NO!.
Extropians/Libertarians must find a way to work with one of our
greatest resources - the mainstream. Much thanks to David Freedman
but you can keep the memetically dead name.
