I just read "The Probability Broach" (finished it Tuesday) and I can say it
is the one of the best sf books I have read recently. It is the best book
I have ever read in the alternative history genre.
The case it makes for anarcho-capitalism is relatively weak because Smith
uses advanced technology to get around the hard problems we face. The
arguement against gun control is considerably better. It is definitely
worth reading.
