*Shrug*. The kind of Singularity SIAI deals with isn't exactly subtle. I
don't expect a Friendly nanotech-equipped superintelligence to notice the
pieces of green paper you seem to think are prerequisite to
participation. I expect that the world's last few tribes of
hunter-gatherers will join the transhuman club the same day I do.

Just for the record, for those of you who aren't aware, there's a
significant faction that regards the whole Slow Singularity scenario as
being, well, silly.

Slow augmentation through expensive BCI implants may respect cultural
differences. Over at SIAI, well, those of you who have read Greg Egan can
think of it as the "Introdus wavefront".
