Well, the Webmind AI Engine really is more naturally oriented for a
massively parallel hardware substrate, than for a von Neumann computer. The
2000 implementation, which implements mind as a distributed agents system
with billions of interacting software agents, has proved too inefficient on
current hardware/software, but on a massively parallel substrate you could
to it easily, without the nasty workarounds we're currently introducing.

So, the paradigm shift introduced by the move to massive MIMD parallelism
may be problematic for some types of software engineering, but for AI system
designers and engineers with the right conceptual perspective, it'll be a
huge breath of fresh air.

Bring on the nanocomputers already...
