Gleick's book _Chaos_ turned my physics world upside down. It
was his excerpt in Physics Today, first, that did it, then I bought
the book when it came out ('87?). I never looked at the world the same
after Gleick's words, and I devoted some pretty serious time in the
later 80's working on chaos-related topics.

*Wonderful* book...
