Partially true: the airfoil is an imitation of birds' wings, and most
pre-Kitty Hawk attempts at powered aircraft got that part right. Just
don't do a blind imitation of bioligy, as shown by the crucial element
that powered aircraft needed (unless any bird species have engines on
the power range we do).
