I'd love a degree if I could get it in a month instead of eight years.
Otherwise, it's just not worth it. Academic AI, as AI, is not very
advanced. If I were to get a doctorate, which I probably never will
(unless it's an honorary one), I would make it a doctorate in cognitive
science.

Where on *Earth* do you get this idea? I don't think much of neural nets;
I think the world of functional neuroanatomy, computational neurology,
cognitive pathology, and so on.
