Russians could have told the world the same thing about practically

Yes, it's a gag site, but it raises an interesting question: what if
the public's sentiment could be voiced in aggregate directly,
bypassing the politicians? Of course the politicians would never
support it, but they can't stop it either. What if there was a general
purpose website where you could record how you would have voted on a
given political issue if The Man had bothered to ask you? That just
might take some of the wind out of The Man's sails.
PS: As might be surmised from earlier posts, I'm ambivalent on this
issue and am exercising my right to abstain, but heartily support your
right to make up your own mind rather than letting El Bozo speak on
your behalf.
