Im surprised your contact would have any doubts that a large
aircraft could do such a maneuver. NASA's vomit comet is
an example of a large craft that can do a parabolic arc for 30 seconds
or longer. How many barrel rolls could it do in that time? On
an airliner I have experience roll rates I would estimate at least
half a radian per second, so NASAs plane should be able to
squeeze out 3 consecutive rolls. I suspect a skilled pilot could
roll a 747 without even causing the passengers inside too much
discomfort (assuming they didn't look out the windows).
